AVENUE ONE NINETEEN

My hope is that this art would bring encouragement and life into your home.

The name avenue one nineteen comes with a story. I wanted to name my shop something that described my art, but I couldn't find anything that fit. When I started thinking about my purpose behind why I paint and what I paint, I knew that I ultimately wanted all of this to bring glory to God. That naturally led me to the Bible, because a lot of my art contains scripture or worship lyrics. I found myself dwelling on Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible. As I read it, I found that it is all about God's Word and the importance it has in our lives.

To me, Avenue One Nineteen means "Path to Christ."  I chose this because I want my art to lead people to God's Word. My hope is that you fill your home with scripture and phrases of encouragement so in the midst of a crazy day or a hard moment you can look up and be guided back to what truly matters.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hi I'm Ashley Morrison! I am a graduate from Texas A&M University and previously a Kilgore College Rangerette on the 75th Line. I have always had a passion for art and painted anything I could get my hands on. My grandma is a wonderful artist and taught me some tips and tricks when I was growing up.

I have found so much joy in creating pieces of art for my loved ones, so I've decide to expand to bring encouragement into other peoples lives as well. I hope you enjoy my shop!

“Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways. Confirm to your servant your promise, that you may be feared. Turn away the reproach that I dread, for your rules are good. Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life!”
